Technical TuningBot FAQ & Tools

CHECKSUM

5) Checksum & No Start Issues

Symptoms: Engine does not start and diagnostic tools cannot connect to ECU.
Checksum correction is an optional add-on. Most genuine tools do this automatically. We provide correction for MDG1, EDC17, MED17, ME17, EEPROM, etc. View supported list.

HARDWARE

6) Which tools are supported?

TuningBot supports all genuine Master tools (Alientech, CMD, Autotuner, Magicmotorsport, etc.) and official TuningBot Slave tools. We strictly do not support cloned hardware.

DTCS

7) Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)

Associated DTCs are automatically removed when disabling features (DPF, EGR, etc). For manual removal, provide codes in standard Pxxxx format. Note: removing a DTC hides the error but does not fix the underlying mechanical fault.

PROCEDURES

8) DPF, EGR and AdBlue Removal

SENSORS

9) Sensor Disconnection

Some solutions require disconnecting specific sensors (e.g., DPF pressure sensors or EGT sensors). For detailed instructions on which sensors to disconnect and in what order, please refer to Our Services page.

ECUS

10) Supported ECUs and Services

We support all major ECU families used in cars, trucks, motorcycles, and marine engines. Available services include DPF, EGR, swirl, AdBlue, and DTC removal. See the complete list.

11) How do I get technical support?

Support is provided exclusively through our ticket system. A ticket is automatically created when you upload a file. You can reply directly via email.

12) Warranty and Refunds

All services include a 30-day warranty on file integrity. Refunds/credits are issued only for proven technical issues caused by our file. Read full terms.

13) Requirements to work with us

  • A genuine Master tool or an official TuningBot Slave tool.
  • A diagnostic device capable of reading EOBD / ISO codes.
  • Basic knowledge of ECU tuning principles.
  • Willingness to follow the recommendations of our experts.

14) Policy on Cloned / Crack Tools

We do not support cloned tools. Use is at your own risk and voids warranty. Claims like “it worked before” are not accepted with cloned hardware.
