ECU Tuning FAQ

What is ECU remapping and how does it improve performance?

ECU remapping adjusts fuel, ignition, boost and torque limit strategies to match your engine and hardware. The result is stronger low-end torque, a flatter power curve, smoother throttle response and — when requested — calmer cruising with improved fuel economy.

Is DPF/EGR/GPF removal legal for road use?

No. Emission-related modifications are intended strictly for off-road or motorsport applications where permitted by law. Always check local regulations and use the vehicle accordingly.

Will the tune be safe for my engine and transmission?

Calibrations are built with OEM safety margins and validated against known ECU limits. We optimize torque requests, load targets and temperature protections to keep components within safe operating ranges.

How do I submit my file and specify DTCs to remove?

Use the “Tune” page to upload your ECU readout. If you need specific DTCs removed, list them in EOBD Pxxxx format during submission. Standard ECU-related DTCs are cleared automatically.

Do you support IMMO OFF and DSG/gearbox tuning?

Yes. We provide IMMO OFF for legacy and modern ECUs (EDC17/MD1/MG1) as well as DSG/gearbox tuning for improved shift logic, torque management and clutch behavior.

How long does processing take and what formats do you accept?

Turnaround depends on ECU family and requested services. We accept standard reads from popular tools; checksum correction is applied automatically on write.
