SHE exception: some versions, including certain MED17.1.62 and EDC17C74 units, store essential immobilizer data in a protected hardware area. Protected data is not accessible simply because the family appears in this list; other fields, such as VIN, may remain editable on supported versions.

What to send

  • Complete backup of the single unit: full FLASH and EEPROM where separately available, including split files and read logs.
  • Identification: ECU/TCU hardware and software numbers, vehicle details, reading tool and MCU ID where required.
  • For editing: the field(s) and requested value(s), with repair context and any reference data needed.
  • For extraction: the fields you need and the purpose of the report.

You do not need a donor backup for a standalone request. A calibration-only or virtual read is insufficient; send the complete backup produced by your tool.

How to request the service

  • Send your request: use the request form and specify either “Edit ECU / TCU data” or “Extract immobilizer data”.
  • Confirm the scope: we review your files and confirm the supported changes or report contents and payment details. Standard work costs €39.99 per unit for the selected service.
  • Receive the output: editing returns the processed file set and writing notes; extraction returns the agreed report. Timing is confirmed with the request.

Editing notes specify whether checksums are already corrected or must be handled by your programmer. Any separate checksum work is confirmed before processing.

What these services do not change

A VIN edit affects the supported field in the supplied ECU/TCU; it does not update all vehicle modules. Power Class editing does not make incompatible hardware or software suitable. An extraction report does not automatically contain everything needed to program keys.

Neither service includes original-to-donor cloning or IMMO Off. These are separate operations.

Professional file services for workshops, tuners and locksmiths authorised to repair the vehicle, on stationary vehicles. Editing delivers processed files. Extraction delivers only the report contents agreed before payment.

Frequently asked questions

Can I order a VIN edit without a full clone?

Yes. A standard supported VIN edit costs EUR 39.99 per unit, VAT included. Send the complete backup, unit identification and requested VIN through our request form. We confirm whether the field can be changed before processing.

Can you supply immobilizer data without modifying the ECU?

Yes. Standard extraction costs EUR 39.99 per unit, VAT included, and provides one report of the agreed available fields. Tell us which data you need. Not every unit contains a PIN, and SHE-protected CS cannot be recovered from a dump.

Can you change Power Class?

Yes, on supported PCR2.1 and SIMOS18 files. Send the current unit backup and the requested value or replacement context for review. Power Class editing does not make incompatible hardware or software suitable for the vehicle.

What is the MCU ID and where do I find it?

It is the processor identifier used by supported operations. Depending on your tool, it appears in identification information, the read log or the backup filename. Send the original report and copy the value exactly. It cannot always be obtained from the FLASH file alone.

Can the extracted data be used to make new keys?

Not automatically. ECU immobilizer data is not necessarily the complete data needed for key programming. For example, SIMOS18 ECU CS data does not replace the key-related CS12 data held in the cluster. Tell us the intended task so the extraction scope can be checked.

Is checksum correction included?

The writing notes identify whether the supplied files already have corrected checksums or require correction by your programmer. Any separate checksum work is confirmed before processing.

What does the EUR 39.99 price cover?

Choose one standard service for one ECU or TCU: editing the agreed supported fields with one final output file set, or extracting the agreed available data into one report. The price includes VAT. Multiple field changes can be included in one editing job. Original-to-donor transfer is cloning at EUR 69.99. Data reconstruction and special manual work require a separate quote before processing.

Do I need reads from two units?

No. Standard editing or extraction needs the complete reads of the unit being worked on. A request to transfer data from an original unit to a donor is the separate clone service at EUR 69.99.

Does EUR 39.99 include both editing and an extraction report?

No. EUR 39.99 is the price per unit for either standard editing or standard extraction. If you need both outputs or special manual work, state that in your request so the total can be confirmed before processing.

Can you extract a PIN from WFS5, WFS6 or SIMOS18?

These ECUs do not provide a PIN as part of their ECU immobilizer data. PIN extraction applies only where a PIN is actually present and readable. SHE-protected CS is also unavailable from the dump.
