Remoção da aba de redemoinho (também conhecido como VSA ou exclusão do flap do corredor de admissão) é um serviço profissional de calibração da ECU que desativa o controle e o diagnóstico do redemoinho ou do flap de admissão quando esses componentes são intencionalmente bloqueados, removidos ou apagados para uso off-road ou em esportes motorizados, quando permitido.

As aletas de admissão variável são projetadas para melhorar a turbulência do ar e a eficiência da combustão em baixa velocidade do motor, mas em muitas plataformas - especialmente a partir do Grupo VAG, BMW, Mercedes, Alfa Romeo e Fiat - são propensos a desgaste, acúmulo de carbono e falha mecânica.
Quando as aletas de admissão ou de redemoinho se prendem ou quebram, elas podem causar perda de desempenho, luzes de advertência e, em casos graves, danos ao motor se os fragmentos forem ingeridos pelos cilindros. Em vez de substituir todo o coletor, uma remoção corretamente projetada na ECU permite que as aletas sejam travadas ou removidas com segurança, sem códigos de erro indesejados ou comportamento limp-mode.
Como funciona a remoção da aba de redemoinho
Nossa calibração desativa o controle do atuador e os diagnósticos de retorno de posição para os flaps de admissão diretamente dentro da ECU. Isso permite que o atuador e os flaps sejam desconectados, travados em uma posição segura ou fisicamente apagados sem acionar os DTCs relacionados ou o mode. A verificação do mode é realizada no software da ECU e é testado em bancada e verificado por dinamômetro para manter a dirigibilidade total, a marcha lenta consistente e o gerenciamento adequado da admissão em toda a faixa de operação.
Para cada família de ECU, o TuningBot verifica se a lógica do flap de redemoinho interage corretamente com o torque modeling, o controle boost e as estratégias relacionadas às emissões. Quando a remoção das aletas de redemoinho é recomendada
- Flaps de redemoinho presos, quebrados ou defeituosos com DTCs no P2004-P2015 alcance.
- Motor do atuador ou articulação danificados, causando marcha lenta instável, ruído de admissão ou desequilíbrio do fluxo de ar.
- Grande acúmulo de carbono que restringe o fluxo de ar e reduz o desempenho.
- Durante o ajuste de desempenho ou ao combinar a exclusão do DPF/EGR para obter um caminho de admissão mais limpo.

Os sistemas de admissão modernos geralmente usam vários sensores e rotinas adaptativas que dependem da posição do flap, incluindo modelling de fluxo de ar, alvos boost e camadas de proteção de temperatura.
