Tune NowThese ECU services are designed for professional users only. If you are new to ECU software, we recommend reading our beginner’s ECU tuning guide and studying independent technical resources such as the Engine Control Unit overview. For older ECU platforms, see Legacy IMMO OFF.
Legal notice: emission-related ECU services are strictly for off-road or motorsport use where permitted by law.
ECU Services & Tuning FAQ
What is ECU remapping and how does it improve performance?
ECU remapping modifies fuel injection, ignition timing, boost pressure, and torque management strategies to optimize engine performance. Results include improved low-end torque, smoother throttle response, enhanced power delivery across the RPM range, and—when requested—better fuel efficiency during normal driving conditions.
Are emission-related modifications legal?
Legality depends on the jurisdiction where the vehicle will be operated. Emission control system modifications (DPF, EGR, GPF, AdBlue, etc.) may be restricted or prohibited for road use in many regions. Always verify local regulations before requesting these services. TuningBot provides these calibrations for professional use in motorsport, off-road, agricultural, or marine applications where permitted by law.
Will the calibration be safe for my engine and transmission?
All calibrations are developed with OEM-grade safety margins and validated against ECU operating limits. We optimize torque request strategies, load targets, temperature protections, and component stress parameters to maintain reliability. Proper hardware condition and maintenance remain the customer’s responsibility.
How do I specify which DTCs should be removed?
Upload your ECU file via the “Tune” page and list the specific diagnostic trouble codes you need removed using standard EOBD format (P0XXX, P2XXX, etc.) in the order notes. Common ECU-related DTCs associated with requested services are automatically addressed. If you’re unsure which codes to remove, our technicians can recommend appropriate DTC handling based on your hardware configuration.
Do you support IMMO OFF and transmission tuning?
Yes. We provide immobilizer removal for both legacy platforms (EDC15/ME7/Marelli) and modern ECUs (EDC17/MD1/MG1/Simos). Transmission tuning is available for DSG/S-tronic/DQ gearboxes, optimizing shift speed, torque limit handling, launch control integration, and clutch pressure strategies.
What file formats do you accept and how long is processing time?
We accept standard binary reads from professional tools (Autotuner, CMD, Alientech, Magic Motorsport, etc.). Processing time varies by ECU family and service complexity: simple Stage 1 maps typically complete within 2-4 hours, while complex multi-service requests may require 24-48 hours. Checksum correction is applied automatically before file delivery.
Can I request a custom service not listed on your website?
Yes. If you need specialized calibration work, actuator adaptations, or ECU solutions not listed in our standard services, use the “Request Custom Quote” page to describe your requirements. Our engineering team will evaluate feasibility and provide a quote with estimated turnaround time.
