Basic Training – ECM Titanium & Tuning Basics

Understand the basics of petrol and diesel engine control units and learn the fundamentals of tuning for an efficient and safe modification process. The course starts from the main mechanical components of petrol and diesel engines, then deepens the use of Alientech ECM Titanium and the operating strategies of modern ECUs: which systems are present in new-generation engines, how and with which maps the ECU controls the performance delivered by the vehicle, and the practical procedures and basic techniques to remap diesel and petrol engines.

Who it is for

Automotive technicians, mechanical workshops, students and professionals. Prerequisite: transversal knowledge of automotive electronics.

• Petrol engine main components: air induction, fuel injection, spark advance, emission management
• Petrol ECU logic and tuning basics; common problems and troubleshooting
• Diesel engine main components: fuel injection, air induction, exhaust temperatures, emission management
• Diesel ECU logic and tuning basics
• ECM Titanium: operating strategies, map identification and modification workflow

Course format

• In-person, one training day of 6–8 hours with an official Alientech Academy trainer (two short breaks plus lunch break)
• Official customized Certificate of Participation issued by Alientech Academy, downloadable from the Alientech website
