Advanced Training – Petrol Engines Tuning

Deepen your understanding of petrol engine ECU operating logic and how to proceed with the modification to unlock the true potential of the engine, through carefully selected modification examples and efficient use of ECM Titanium. Starting from the concept of torque request, the course builds a strong understanding of volumetric efficiency, throttle control and everything in between, then how to tune injection in relation to air quantity by establishing how Air-to-Fuel ratio and closed/open loop really work. Everything is reviewed in practice by analyzing original files and real-world outcomes proved by dyno bench tests.

Who it is for

Automotive technicians, mechanical workshops, students and professionals. Prerequisite: knowledge of engine mechanical components and automotive electronics (Basic Training recommended).

Programme

• Torque request and torque model
• Volumetric efficiency and throttle control
• Variable valve timing and valve lift
• Injection tuning: Air-to-Fuel ratio, closed/open loop
• Spark advance – knock sensor
• Analysis of original files and of bench tests

Course format

• In-person, one training day of 6–8 hours with an official Alientech Academy trainer (two short breaks plus lunch break)
• Official customized Certificate of Participation issued by Alientech Academy, downloadable from the Alientech website
