Stock file restore is an online file service that provides you with the original factory ECU calibration. Upload your current file and receive back a verified OEM stock file, removing all modifications.
A stock file (also called original file) is the unmodified factory calibration that came pre-programmed in your ECU. It contains all OEM maps and emission controls exactly as designed by the manufacturer, with no tuning or modifications.
Important: Stock file restore is a custom service requiring a quote request. We maintain a database of verified original files cross-referenced by ECU part number, software version, and hardware revision. Our stock files include complete checksum correction and are ready to flash.
When Do You Need a Stock File?

How It Works

- Upload your current file – we verify compatibility and identify the correct stock file
- Receive stock file – we deliver the verified original file with correct checksums
- Flash to your ECU – use your flash tool to write the stock file
Delivery time: Stock files are typically delivered following the same timeframes as our standard tuning service. Complex or rare ECU variants may require additional verification time.

What is an ECU stock file?
A stock file is the unmodified factory calibration originally programmed into the ECU. It contains the OEM maps and the complete emission strategy exactly as the manufacturer designed them, with no tuning and no deletes. When you are ready to go the other way, our ECU tuning file service works from the same original read.
How do I know which stock file matches my ECU?
The file is matched by ECU part number, software version and hardware revision. Send those three values with your quote request; if you also upload your current read, we verify compatibility against the database before delivering.
Does a stock restore remove DPF, EGR, AdBlue and IMMO Off?
Yes. Restoring to stock returns the ECU to 100% factory specification, so every previous modification is removed, including Stage tuning, DPF Off, EGR Off, AdBlue Off, IMMO Off and speed limiter removal. If you need to keep one of them, ask for a custom hybrid file instead.
Is checksum correction included in a stock file?
Yes. Stock files are delivered with complete checksum correction and are ready to flash with your tool.
Can you restore a stock file if my ECU is not in the list?
Often yes. The database is expanded continuously and covers legacy platforms beyond the tables on this page. Send the ECU details with a quote request and we verify availability before you commit.
Do I need the original file to order a stock restore?
The original read is not required, because the stock file comes from the verified database. Your current modified read is still useful: it lets us confirm the exact software and hardware revision of your ECU.
